The Women’s Auxiliary to the Illinois District of the American Turners is headquartered at the Illinois Turner Camp. The Ladies Auxiliary erected a clubhouse at the Illinois Turner Camp in 1930 which they named “Waldklause ” (House in the Forest). This was built solely by donations and has been maintained by donations since then. At the same time, in 1930, the Ladies also built the Playhouse for the children of Camp.

After three years they donated the Playhouse  building to Turner Camp. Since then it has been used as a craft house, dormitory, bathroom, shower and Tweenie House. In 1946, the Ladies added a wing, which was originally used as a meeting place for girls. After three years it was also donated to Turner Camp. It evolved into the Junior House and then a craft house for the children and then to a Junior House for a few years and then stood empty for a few years and has now evolved into a craft house for all ages .

Thru the years, the District Ladies Auxiliary has also donated monies towards Camp projects. The District Ladies participated in the 100th Anniversary of Turner Camp and passed out a complimentary Ladies Auxiliary memento pin to all that attended. The House is used as a meeting place for social activities for all Turner Camp Ladies and members of Society Auxiliaries. Thru donations the following has been upgraded: New roof, all new electric, all new windows and new plumbing. The Ladies House has been inspected by an Architectural Engineer and he declared the building to be so sound, it will still be standing in 100 years.
